Build relationships and contacts with relevant print, broadcast and online journalists.
Undertake proactive media engagement, including writing press releases
Respond to all media enquiries in a timely and accurate fashion.
Brief journalists as required and draft reactive statements and letters to editors.
Organize press conferences as required.
Responsible for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all Organization publications.
Produce media briefings for press conferences and events as required.
Arrange media interviews for staff and draft briefings for them when appropriate.
Lead on the development and monitoring of brand guidelines and key messages.
Works with the Marketing Officer to ensure that marketing and communications functions are joined up and complementary.
Carry out other general communications and marketing tasks that may arise
Develops and implements comprehensive corporate initiatives in partnership with Corporate Sales/Marketing and Human Resources.
Implements communication strategies to enhance the public perception of the organization in support of branding goals and driving brand strategy in primary and secondary markets.
Develops measurement tools to assure goals regarding perception strategies are met.Responsible for all aspects of the organizations internal and external communications, including publications, content of web site, video programs, newsletters, public service announcements, and relations with print and electronic media. Partners with all divisions/departments to ensure all marketing materials and activities support the company’s strategic direction.
Provides media training to key management to enhance their effectiveness
in representing the company.
Acts as company public relations when appropriate.
